ARE YOUR HORMONES MAKING YOU FAT?!?!
........I think mine may well be!!
Taking our nutritional consultant up on her offer to find out if my hormones were making me fat, she assessed me and offered some suggestions of different foods to eat with a suggestion of 50% of my plate of food being fruit and/or veg. The other half of the plate was to be divided between proteins and carbs with proteins being just over a quarter and carbs just under. After that it was about the quantity done in mouthfuls.
Although I have to say that life events have got in the way (confirming that stress probably is a big factor) I have started to reduce my carbs and increase my fruit and veg. Taking bread, which has for years given me a sore stomach, out of my diet has been interesting but helpful and generally I’m feeling healthier and less ‘heavy’ in a wheaty carb kind of way.
Now I’m probably not the best person to give you all the details on how this can help you but it’s certainly been and is an interesting journey, looking more holistically at me rather than just my food.
This talk will help you understand why the popular calorie counting diets and exhausting exercise routines don’t work in the long run!
